Eighth-place outing in Dustbuster 40 at Moler Raceway Park
Dustin Linville began a two-day race weekend at Moler Raceway Park (Williamsburg, Ohio) behind the wheel of the No. 7 Audie Swartz House Car for the Dustbuster 40 on Friday afternoon.
With a whopping 46 Late Models in the pits, Linville qualified third-fastest in his group before a third-place run in his heat race. For the $6,000-to-win main event, Dustin fell outside the Top-10 but rallied to land an eighth-place outing after 40 laps.
Traveling back to his home state of Kentucky on Saturday, Dustin was back in his familiar No. D8 machine for the Butch Shay Memorial at Richmond Raceway (Richmond, Ky.).
After missing the eight ball in qualifying, Linville made up for it in his heat race by picking off two competitors for a runner-up finish. For a $7,500 payday, Dustin ran as high as second until mechanical woes late forced him to pull in. He was scored 13th in the final rundown.
