Dustin Linville Named Inagural STARS MDRL Series Champion!

After officials with the STARS Midwest Dirt Racing League and Southern Ohio Speedway reached an agreement to cancel the series' finale set for October 8, Dustin Linville of Bryantsville, KY has been named the Inagural Series Champion.

Linville captured one win during the 2011 season during the eight race schedule which came on Saturday, July 2 and Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, KY during the Buddy Rogers Memorial event. Linville after dropping on race, beat runner-up Michael Chilton by just 100 points, even after Chilton dropped his lowest recorded finish.

Linville along with STARS Volunteer Racing Series Champion Eric Jacobsen of Santa Cruz, California wil have mention and honor during the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned Dirt Track World Championship on October 14-15 at KC Raceway in Chillicothe, OH. For Linville's efforts for the Championship, he will receive a guaranteed starting spot in the 100-lapper paying $50,000 to win that weekend.

Linville Leaves Buckeye State with a Pair of Top Ten Finishes!

Dustin and the JP Motorsports team visited Donna Rayburn's Portsmouth Raceway Park Saturday night for the S.T.A.R.S. Midwest Dirt Racing League $3,000 to win event. Linville was able to lay down the sixth fastest time of his group during qualifying and finish fourth in the heat locking him into the night's a-main event.Avoiding several cautions Dustin made his way into a the top ten for a respecatble nineth place finish. Earlier in the weekend at the newly re-opened Southern Ohio Speedway on Friday night Dustin started on the pole of his heat but feel back to third by the finish securing him a nineth place starting spot for the a-main. Linville continues to lead the S.T.A.R.S. Midwest Dirt Racing League Championship Point Standings heading into this weekend's events at Southern Ohio and Bluegrass Speedway's. Michael Chilton trails Linville by only 145 points. The series' champion recieves a quaranteed starting spot in Carl Short's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned Dirt Track World Championship at KC Raceway on October 13-15 paying $50,000 to win/$2,500 to start!

 
Dustin Brings Home Back-to-Back $3k Wins this Fourth of July Weekend!

Linville earner $3,000 on Saturday night at Mountain Motor Speedway for a victory in the second annual Roger Breeding Memorial. Sunday, Linville and the JP Motorsports team visited 191 Speedway in Campton, KY for the second time this season. After starting eighth in the United Super Dirt Car Series C & C Liquor 40 A-Main event, Linville quickly began his march to the front. A lap 38 would set the field up for a green-white-checkered finish with Fisher on the point followed by Linville and Chris Combs. Linville used the top side to his advantage to make the pass on Fisher exiting turn four coming to the checkered flag, earning him back-to-back $3,000 victories. Friday night at Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg, TN was a triple sanctioned $5,000 to win event by the S.T.A.R.S Volunteer Racing Series, S.T.A.R.S Midwest Dirt Racing League, and the Southern Regional Racing Series. Linville Lands Another Top Five Finish for JP Motorsports at 191!

Dustin and the JP Motorsports crew visited 191 Speedway in Campton, KY on Saturday Night and Linville brought home another top five finish for the Jesse Puckett owned JP Motorsports team.

After qualifying fourth and finish third in his heat race, Dustin started sixth on the field. Several caution periods sloowed the a-main event before the final laps when a three way battle for the second position began between Linville, Daniel Shelton, and Derek Fisher. With all three door-to-door, bumper-to-bumper, it would be Linville at the line bringing home a respectable second place finish. Full results can be found at www.191speedway.com

 
Dustin Linville Scores 12th Annual "Junebug" Rowland Memorial Victory at Ponderosa Speedway!

Linville took the lead on lap 17 of the 40-lap, $2,500 to win A-main event after Justin Rattliff went pit side with mechanical issiues.

Rattliff took the lead at the drop of the green flag with Greg Johnson in tow. A total of five cautions came before th field reached the halfway point as Linville had already made his way up to third from his eighth place starting spot. Dustin would pull the slider on Greg Johnson on a lap 16 restart to take over second before the caution flew again on lap 17. After leading up to this point, Rattliff went pitside with mechanical issues giving Linville the lead. Dustin held off Johnson for the remaining laps to bring home the win in the Jesse Puckett ownded #d88 C.J. Rayburn powered by a Roush-Yates Racing Engine.
